Together as One

Our dedicated Cuppa Squad parental support group, for parents of children and young adults diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, is a helpful space for parents to identify and share their concerns and shared experiences around their children's wellbeing and to meet others sharing similar experiences.

Our ‘Together as One’ support group provides informal mutual support and opportunities to discuss parenting challenges and strategies. Our discussions can help find resources, tools and information. Our Cuppa Squad facilitators are dedicated to nurture parental peer-to-peer support.

Leanne - parent of a child living with type 1 diabetes

I am thankful for the Together as 1 monthly meetings as I have found them a great support since my son was diagnosed 6 months ago. It’s a great safe place to share your concerns, worries, bad days but also good days and your child’s achievements. Everyone is very encouraging, helpful, supportive and understands which is invaluable.”

Steve and Fiona - parents of a child living with type 1 diabetes

I joined Together as One just after my now 10 year old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I was apprehensive about joining a group as it's not something that I've done before. I have to say, I'm so pleased I did. Our meetings are relaxed, informative and encouraging. We share experiences, good and bad, and it really does feel that we are together as one trying to our best for our warriors.
