Type 2 Diabetes

We offer a range of peer-to-peer support groups both online and face-to-face for those living with pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes, where people can discuss, share, and communicate their day-to-day experiences in living with diabetes.

Coping with diabetes can be intimidating and frustrating, whether they are newly diagnosed with the condition, someone who is living with the condition for some time, or a family member, carer, or friend of a loved one who’s living with diabetes.

During our meet-up groups, members can find information, advice, and are able to relax & chat. We passionately believe, that having someone to talk to, can better help members cope with, deal with, and accept their new or current lifestyle.

Cameron - living with type 2 diabetes

“I find the group very useful as I recognise diabetes is a lifestyle. The pieces of advice, support and assurance I get even when things aren’t going well with my diabetes management.”

Rita - living with type 2 diabetes

“I definitely would come back again. I just think it’s really nice to be able to speak to people likewise who have the same condition and, you know, obviously that bounces information and ideas. But I enjoy the interaction with other people who understand this journey you’ve got to deal with and maintain.”

Bob - living with type 2 diabetes

It’s helped me to be more focused with my food, just generally, how I’m managing my diabetes. To sort of keep me on the straight and narrow path, I would say.”
